Passing Pattern 1- Progression 2
Vision/Purpose:
-If players are facing back, can we move to provide options underneath
-If players are facing forward, can we provide options higher/ahead
Objectives:
-Technical execution (right, left /passing&receiving / ball speed / body orientation)
-Physical (movement to unmark and arrive / movement to step to ball / mechanics for technique)
-Tactical (angles of support / options to play forward / speed of play / direction / scanning-perception-vision)
-Psychological (focus / energy / resilience-recovery-progress after mistake / effort)
Pattern:
Order: A-B-A-C-B-D-C-D : This ends up on the opposite end, and repeat.
Actions: A passes to B (who moves to unmark and arrive) - B passes down into A who is moving forward to combine ; A passes forward to C (who moves to unmark and arrive) - C passes down into B who is moving forward to combine ; B passes forward to D (who moves to unmark) ; D plays into C who is moving forward to combine to get in behind (simulating 2v1 situation to get around or behind). Start the next sequence on the other side
Periodization:
4 x 2 min
2 min rest
10 min total

Passing Pattern 2
Vision/Purpose:
-If players are facing back, can we move to provide options underneath
-If players are facing forward, can we provide options higher/ahead
Objectives:
-Technical execution (right, left / running w the ball / passing&receiving / ball speed / body orientation)
-Physical (movement to unmark and arrive / movement to step to ball / mechanics for technique)
-Tactical (angles of support / options to play forward / speed of play / direction / scanning-perception-vision)
-Psychological (focus / energy / resilience-recovery-progress after mistake / effort)
Pattern:
Progression 1/2
Order: A-B-C : This ends up on the opposite end, and repeat.
Actions: A passes to B (who moves to unmark and arrive) - B passes down into C (who moves to unmark and open) - C runs with the ball forward in progression 1. C passes forward into the next player in the next line in progression 2.
Progression 3
Order: A-B-C-B-C : This ends up on the opposite end, and repeat.
Actions: A passes to B (who moves to unmark and arrive) - B passes down into C (who moves to unmark and open) - C runs with the ball forward in progression 1. C passes forward into the next player in the next line in progression 2.

3v3 Flys (3v3 - 3v2 numbers up)
Vision/Purpose:
- Looking to play forward, creating numerical advantages, going to goal.
- One player from each team is in oppositions half: they are to remain in that attacking half, they cannot drop into defensive half.
- Exercise is the same rotation as flying changes, where a new 2 come on from the side the ball goes out from or the side a goal is conceded.
Objectives:
-Technical execution (right, left /passing&receiving - shooting - running w the ball / ball speed / body orientation)
-Physical (movement to unmark and arrive / movement to step to ball / mechanics for technique)
-Tactical (angles of support / options to play forward / speed of play / direction / scanning-perception-vision / creating GSO / Creating Numerical Overloads / Finding the free player)
-Psychological (focus / energy / resilience-recovery-progress after mistake / effort)
Periodization:
4 x 4 min
4 min rest
20 min total

6v6+5
Vision/Purpose:
- Looking to play forward, creating numerical advantages, going to goal.
- One team off providing free options for team in position (5- two on each side of each goal, one in the interior). Plus players have one touch, except for player inside. 11v6 in possession
- If players finish one-touch off of a pass from a plus player (neutral), it is worth two. All other goals count for 1. This to incentivize players to play higher (priming them to look forward first).
Objectives:
-Technical execution (right, left /passing&receiving - shooting - running w the ball / ball speed / body orientation)
-Physical (movement to unmark and arrive / movement to step to ball / mechanics for technique)
-Tactical (angles of support / options to play forward / speed of play / direction / scanning-perception-vision / creating GSO / Creating Numerical Overloads / Finding the free player)
