Aim
To improve the Gk's catching ability, using speed of movement and their set position to ensure they are in the best possible position to start and end these movements

Pass out
Aim
To develop the GK's passing confidence and aim when using both feet
Instructions
** Roll
** Over/sidearm throw
** Kick along the ground
** Clip
Progression
Once the initial action is complete the GK will quickly move back into the goal to receive the shot from C(p)

Quick shot
Aim
To have the GK making quick movements so he is able to deal with an early shot on goal
Instructions
*** both sides to be worked ***
Progression
A 2nd shot can be then taken towards the far post, it is up to the GK to get to his feet and deal with this ball

3 shots on goal
The coach will shout out the order the shots are going to be taken
The 'defenders' can choose to leave the ball alone or try to deflect it into the goal
(defenders are not allowed to score - they must pass back to the coaches)

Aim
To get everyone moving and thinking about the session ahead
Instructions
Working in pairs the gk's will take turns in feeding and stopping the ball.
The ball will be served at mid-level starting with a soft throw to waist height, the working GK is to make a positive movement to catch the ball with both hands and secure it on the ground. The gk's will then change position

The GK's will now work on the ground level with the same drill
