Session focusing on defensive duties and shape of the back 6 in a 4-2-3-1 setup

SETUP: 6v6 on 60x50yd field split into 5 vertical zones and 2 horizontal zones.
GAME: Start with shadow play and then build to 6v6 to goal. White scores by playing ball into mannequin out wide or into the small central goal. Anytime blue wins the ball they can go directly to the big goal to score.
RESTRICTIONS:
White-only 2 & 3 can move into forward wide zones in possession
Blue-must have 1 player in back zone when attacking
PROGRESSIONS:
-start play from a corner kick
-start play from a goal kick
-add counter-attacking element with outside backs having to recover

GAME: Teams play 11v11 however GK cannot defend the goal on the 18, he can only be used to help the attacking team in possession.
-Break into 5 minute games with scenarios being added.

Sequence 4v2 Rondo (15 mins)
SETUP: 2 10x10yd grids spaced 12 yards apart with 3 teams of 2 involved in each sequence.
GAME: Players in Zone 1 complete passing sequence and then play ball into Zone 2. The color that plays into Zone 2 follows ball into that zone and it becomes a 4v2 in that area. Team that gives away possession then goes down to join line entering Zone 1.
Points can be scored by # of passes against or by time spent defending.
OBJECTIVE: Quick transition to defense, pressure/cover, body shape. Need to demand communication.
