Description

OBJECTIVE

  • Get players comfortable passing & receiving with different parts of the foot and movement off the ball.

THEME

  • Passing & Receiving

ORGANISATION

  • Set up a grid 30x30 (can be changed with bigger or smaller numbers)
  • Split players into 4 small teams (3-4 players)
  • Each team has a ball between them

METHOD

  • Players move around the grid passing the ball to each other.
  • Start with passes allowed to anybody.
  • Then bring in players can only pass to other players in the same colour bib
  • Then each colour passes to a specific colour (yellow pass red, red pass green, green pass orange, orange pass yellow)

COACHING POINTS

  • Quality and weight of the pass
  • Receiving the ball with different parts of the foot
  • Movement off the ball
  • Use the space available
