Pattern (Counter Attack)
- 2 groups of 5, set up as shown
Players start in a defensive / compact shape and upon the "T" player releasing the ball to #6, that's a trigger for the players to get into their attacking shape (expand wide and high to exploit space)
- See above for the pattern
- 2 points if score within 12 seconds
- Add in different patterns ( freeing the #10 in behind )
Coaching points:
- Quality of pass (weight / accuracy / timing)
- Immediate expansion upon winning the ball
- Speed of play / movement
- Play ball in front of team-mate
- 1 touch if possible, 2 if needed
- Timing of runs

Activity:
The defending team try to keep the ball away from the attacking team in the square. They get a point if they connect 10 passes. (Both teams can use Neutral players when in possession.) Upon winning the ball, the attacking team try to break out and score in the goal. They score 3 goals if they score within 10 seconds.
Coaching Points:
Upon winning the ball, thoughts shuld be to go forward
If ball winner canot go forward, connect pass then next pass goes forward.
FW's have different movement, 1 looks to show feet while the other looks to get in behind
1 FB joins in attack while other joins the CB's to make 3 defenders.
1 CM can go forward while other stays
