6v6/4v4's/8v8's Game (30 mins)

6v6 Game for GU9&GU10's. 8v8 for U11's. (30 minutes)

Scoring: 1) Players get one point if they score on goal, 2) if they switch the ball from one end to the other.

Things to Teach:

Throw-ins - Closest Outside back takes it. Closest forward

Coaching points:

Offensive team needs to have their forwards wide in their own half and they can start coming in the offensive half.

Important we teach them our number system and formation. We play a GK-2-1-2. With two defenders, one CM and two forwards.

Make sure you give them set positions.

Let's create 3 channels to naturally give them width.

2-10/15 minute halves.

Things to Teach in 6v6 Game

Two Things to teach in 6v6 Game:

Throw ins:

- Closest Center back (4) takes the throw. Opposite Center Back provides support by dropping back at an angle.

Options:

1) Closest forward (3) checks to the ball and then makes run down the line.

2) Center mid starts out and then checks inside to receive ball to either play ball down the line, play it back to 4 and opens up to get the ball back again with the intent of switching it. Or 6 can play to 5 who then looks to switch the ball.

GK in possession of the ball.

If everyone clears out, GK can put the ball down at her feet and distribute from there. Look to find seams or play to one of the Center Backs. Opposite Center Backs tucks in to provide cover in case we lose possession.
