Need
- 20 cones (8 cones in 1 color, 12 cones in a different color)
- 1 ball per 2 players
Instructions
Depending on the number of players create a big rectangle. For each group 2 of players make the width 5 yards. The length is always 20 yards. The players partner up. Player with the ball starts in one of the red endzones. The player without the ball is in the big yellow rectangle. The player with the ball tries to dribble the ball to the other endzone, the defender tries to steal the ball. The attacker has to be able to control the ball inside the other endzone, if the ball goes out of the endzone this is considered losing the ball and the defender receives the ball. Players can only steal the ball from their partner. If the defender wins the ball or the attacker kicks if out the roles are switched.
Competition
Each time a player makes it to the other endzone the player gets 1 point. If the player used a move to beat the defender and successfully makes it to the other side the player gets 5 points. If the defender steals the ball and this player makes it to one of the endzones this player gets 1 point.
Sets
Play 5 of games of 80 seconds each, 40 seconds break in between games to switch partners and get ready.

Coaching Points Defender

- Try to seperate the attacker and the ball
- Never give up
Make it easier
- Defender has to start from the midline of the big yellow square
- Defender is not allowed to move backwards, so cannot contain or chase down after getting beat
- Make the field bigger
Make it harder
- Make the field smaller
- Create groups of 3 players, 1 attacker and 2 defenders

1v1 Chaos (10 mins)
Need
8 to 16 cones
2 balls for every 3 players
Instructions
Create a rectangle of around 15/20 by 20/30 yards. In this rectangle about 60 to 65% of the players have a ball, they are considered the attackers. The other players don't have a ball, they are considered the defenders (No pennies!). When the game starts the attackers try to keep possession, the defenders try to steal the ball from an attacker. When the defender steals the ball he/she becomes and attacker, the former attacker is now a defender.
Maximum Number of Players
Every player is involved in the drill.
Sets
Each game is 1 minute. If a player does not have the ball after 1 minute when the coach stops the game, he/she lost and has to do 5 jumping jacks. Play a total of about 6 to 7 games in 10 minutes.
Coaching Points
- Get your head up and dribble into open space, away from one of the defenders. Never just stand still waiting to get pressured.
- When you get pressured, use your skills to keep possession of the ball. Can you use a move to beat one of the defenders?
- Shield the ball while dribbling away from the defender
