x8 Red Bibs (Attacking team)
- Play will start from the coached teams GK passing to one of the full backs who must try to break lines with a pass or advancde the ball forward by dribbling past the oppositions forward line, if they manage to play into CF he must try to score into either of the three mini goals
coached team formation: 433 (coached team) with wide players removed.
opposition team formation: 532 (opposition) with wide fullbacks removed
opposition instructions:
- press aggressively
- protect the middle
- track runners
- Limit space between the lines
reference points:
CB - starting position should be level with either post.
LB/RB - starting position should be corner of 18 yard box
coached team coaching points:
- movement to create space
- ball speed
- support the ball
reference points for coached team:
RW/LW - high and wide as possible on the touchlines
CF - in between the two CB's
problem:
- opposition teams are compact and defending with a deep line
Solution:
if opposition are defending deep, can you make runs short/into wide areas to drag opposition team out of position and create space in-between the lines for the attacking team to exploit and create goalscoring opportunities
