General Transition Rondo Practice
The idea of this practice is to reinforce the basic principles of early decisions, quick passing, a technical skill that should always be constant. As well as recognising the importance of transitions in a game.
Organisation / Area
Explanation:
The purpose of the practice is to encourage quick thinking on the ball to maintain possession for IP team. OP are encouraged to win the ball back with hard fast aggressive pressing.
How:
x2 teams spread out across the area, x5 IP must occupy the 12x12 area and maintain possession completing minimum x4 passes. Achieve x4 passes can IP play out to the x2 outer IP players, x5 players locked in the 12x12 are then unlocked. Can the IP complete x3 passes and score in the designated x2 goals. If the OP players win possession (everyone becomes unlocked), can they transfer the ball out wide to OP players complete minimum x4 passes and score in the designated x2 goals.
All players must reset and get on the ball early within the 12x12 area to start again.
