Part B
Keeper serves the ball to a teammate to play 1v1 against one defender. If a shot is taken or a goal is scored, one player is added to the losing team. Player who took the shot becomes a defender and a 2v1 environment is created. Game should progress to 2v2, 3v2, 3v3, 4v3, and 4v4.
CPs: Focus should be on playing the ball forward quickly and generating goal scoring opportunities. Defenders should delay the attack and not dive in. Encourage combination play when you're in 2v1, 3v2 environment.

20x30 yard grid, 2 goals with keepers at opposite sides. 3v2 environment.
3 attacking players keep possession in their half, passing between them and the keeper. Defending team of two is waiting in their half. At coach's command the game goes live. Attackers attempt to score and defenders attempt to deny/gain possession. If the attacking team scores, misses the goal or keeper saves, all 3 players are replaced by 2 new players of the same color. Another player then joins the team that was previously defending as an attacker and a new 3v2 play starts.
Coaching Points: 1) Players in possession of the ball should pass and move always keeping a triangular formation. Defenders should not be in a line. Zonal marking is recommended as the defending team will be man down. 2) Defenders should delay and not dive in without being 100% sure of getting possession of the ball (tackle the loose ball).
Progressions: Less challenging: Allow team in possession unlimited touches on the ball. Coach can also favor the attacking team by adding an extra attacking player, 4v2 instead of 3v2.
More challenging: Play 1-2 touch only thereby increasing the difficulty on the team in possession.

In and Out 4v4:
Keeper starts a 4v4 game. If a player from the attacking team loses the ball, that player must exit the field immediately, giving the other team numbers up, 4v3. The player can re-enter if: a) team with 3 defenders regain possession; b) ball goes out of bounds; c) goal is scored, or d) goalkeeper saves shot. If the ball goes out of bounds, a throw-in is taken and player wo exited may re-enter.
Coaching notes: Patience in possession and do not force the pass. 2) Coach should require players to play fast give and go passes regularly as well as first time finishes. 3) Encourage defending players to recognize when to apply man to man or zone marking or a combination of both. 4) Communication between keeper and defensive team. 5) Attacking team keeper should also communicate with her team and stay involved in the attack, especially when her team is in a 4v3 man up advantage.

1v1 to 4v4 plus keeper
Set up: 30x20 yards, 2 teams of 6-8 players (can be played with 4 players each), a keeper and 2 sets of goals. Helpful to have 3 coaches to distribute.
Coach serves multiple balls to players at one end calling the type of game to take place at that particular moment (1v1, 2v1, 3v2, etc). Player or players in possession should beat the opposition and score. If defending team wins the ball, they should attempt to score in the other end. Players involved in a game return the sideline if: a) a goal is scored; b) a ball goes out of bounds; or c) a keeper makes a save. Coach serves balls, continually calling different plays such as 1v1, 2v1, 3v2, etc.
Coaching points:
* Focus should be on getting immediate control of the ball and identifying teammates and opposition.
* Encourage receivers to trap the ball using the sole of the foot. Defenders should not dive in. Encourage combination play when applicable.
