Organization:

  • 40 X 50 yard field
  • 2 big nets 2 pugs
  • cones to divide the field into 3 parts 10/20-20/40 yards away from one big net

Instructions:

  • all players with a soccer all & two teams 
  • players will have two mins to score as many points as they can in order for their team to win
  • Players that shoot from: 0-10 yards out get 1 point  20-30 yards out=2 and shoot 40 yards out= 3 points 
  • shooting in any pug get you 1 point cant shot in the same pug goal repeatedly
  • blue shoots south yellow shoots north

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • for 3 pointer shots you want to use the laces to get the power and pace on the all make sure to swing the leg back as far as you can 
  • closer shots can work using curve, trivela, and chip shots 

Regressions/Progressions:

  • Pro 1: add a goalie to each teams big goal

Organization:

  • 40 X 50 yards box 
  • two teams 
  • 2 big goals balls on the end of each goal 

Instructions:

  • players play small sided however if player shoot from anywhere in the middle zone on goal they get 1 points
  • shooting anywhere 0-10 yards = 2 point  from the zone 1 point 
  • no corners just throw ins and play out of the back 

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • Q 1: when is the best time to shoot
  • Q2: why do we want to get close to goal to shoot?
  • Q3: if we shoot from far what part of the foot do we want to use?
