Possession practise-
Greens will look to keep the ball with the black team, if the yellows win the ball can they transfer to the whites.
Make area as large as possible to work on the pressing team being able to limit options to play through.
Technical outcomes:-
-Defenders must move quickly to delay the in possession team moving the ball
-In line with the ball, can defenders get in line with the ball to prevent forward passes
-Recognise body shape and head position to anticipate the next pass/action
Defending Principles:-
-Closest player presses the ball, others eliminate options/ mark space to prevent penetrating passes
-If defender is beaten can they look to recover quickly
-Compactness, maintain close distances between defenders
