Objective: Improve creating chances through movement patterns to unbalance the defenders when our wingback are in possession.
Number of players: 15-16 players

Field size & Duration: Half field and 15 mins
Active/Recovery/Sets: 4mins/1mins/3
Organization:
We set up the defending team in a 1-4-3 and the attacking(focus team) in 5-2( two holding mids, WB, attacking mid and two strikers). Focus team scoring in the big goal and the defending team score in the two pug goals. Play begins by holding mid playing a pass to the WB. Our desired behavior, when WB in possession strong side striker(10) looks to come short and curve run to the outside channel as his WB or inbehind the CB. Weakside Striker (9) move to the space created by strongside striker. Our attacking mid looks to (10) looks to occupy space left by the weakside striker(9). Strongside holding mid who plays ball to the WB looks to occupy space left by our attacking mid and weakside CM shift accros to provide support for WB in possession and also to keep us balance. Strongside WB supports striker in the outside channel.

Challenges:

The defending team can enter into the outside channels when WB in possession. Backline must start from offline line when play is dead. Can WB looks to play inbehind the opposition. Can attacking player provide passing options for the WB in possession.

Conditions:
Half field with one big goal and two pug goals. 5-8yrds outside channels and 5-8yrds offline line from the 18yrd box.
Targets:
Attacking team scores in the big goal and defending pug goals (2) or connect 6 passes for a point.

Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
-- Fullback can engage WB whenever.

-- Attack win possession within 4 passes and score 2 points.
-- Coach will randomly play a new ball in and players must react. (ball can go to either team)
Intervention Strategies:
-- Natural stoppage

--In the flow

--Individual coaching

-- When desired behaviors is shown/demonstrated

--When there's common mistake.

Coaching points:
