SETUP
20m x 20m Grid setup as above
OBJECTIVE.
RWB - close ball control through gates, bigger touches when running in space.
INSTRUCTIONS.
Start with each player having thier own specific colour gate, how many times can you dribble through your gates in 2mins
Give each player 2 colours and repeat.
PROGRESSION
Right foot only
Left foot only
Coach calls colour or sequence of gates to dribble through
COACHING POINTS.
use correct technique inside of foot, laces
head and eyes up scan
keep ball close when attacking gates
drive quickly when in space between gates

2 x fields setup 25mx30m
2 teams split into 3v3+GK if normal goals, or 4v4 with bouncer with mini goals
bouncer 3 touch max
balls next to goals, restarts from the back
OBJECTIVE.
RWB
INSTRUCTIONS.
Directional game, normal kick-off, no throw-ins, no corners
score in goal at opposite end
Must be over half way to score.
PROGRESSIONS/VARIATIONS.
rotate bouncer every 3mins
can we run with the ball into space to make a successful cross (2 points)
if we score a goal from a cross (3 points)

DURATION 15mins.
SETUP.
2 x grids 25m x 30m, 2 x poles per grid, 1 ball per grid with spares. 1 team per grid.
OBJECTIVE.
RWB into wide area to create space for a cross.
INSTRUCTIONS.
Split teams up half at each end A&B, start at Player A. Player A runs in wide area with ball towards opposite end, when in a position past the pole at position 1, he plays a pass (cross) to the waiting player B, who receives the ball and runs with the ball back towards the opposite end and continues the drill.
After a couple of cycles through be sure to swap sides so that the players are using both feet.
Progressions - can we take only 3 touches before crossing, run to the by -line drag back onto opposite foot and cross
COACHING POINTS.
toes pointed, touch with the laces and Attack the space in front.
body shape when receiving the cross
get balanced, scorrect position of feet when crossing
head and eyes up evry couple of touches
communication

WARM UP - SQUARE OF DOOM (10 mins)
DURATION 10mins.
SETUP.
2 grids size dependant on numbers (outside 12mx12m, inside 3mx3m)
Players in large grid with a ball each.
2 x Zombies (defenders) in small grid
OBJECTIVE.
RWB - dribble through the SQUARE of DOOM, without losing the ball to a Zombie (defender).
INSTRUCTIONS.
2 Zombies (defenders) in smaller grid (Square of Doom), rest of the players with a ball RWB around inside the large grid, if they are able to RWB across the Square of Doom and out the other side they get a point, if they lose the ball or are attacked they must dribble ball around outside cone before next attempt. Change Zombies every 2 minutes.
COACHING POINTS.
Use both feet, inside of foot for close control.
Point toes and use laces for driving into space or through the Square of Doom
head & eyes up every couple of touches
