Organization
Line up all the players on one side of the square.
Setup a square aprox 20yds
Instruction
When ready the players will try to run to the other side and get by the coach.
The coach tries to tag players, who in turn try to reach the other side of the grid safely. If they
do they turn around and wait for the coach to call again. If they are tagged then they are it in the middle
with the coach. Continue until one player is left.
Theming
Explain to the players that you are a shark swimming around in the sea and they are fish who must get to the other end of the sea with their soccer ball without the shark eating them. This game is designed to be fun, so...... there is a song / rhyme that must be sung beforethe game can begin.
The coach says: "Fishy, fishy swimming in the sea"
The players respond with: "Sharky, sharky you can't catch me"
Then the Coach shouts "Go"
Coaching Points
Let Everyone through first time - then make it as hard as you like.
Focus on getting the players to stop on the lines.
Theme or make up your own rhyme as you feel comfortable
