6 v 6 Function Defending in Central Area’s in Own Half

Start 

Red CB passes too there CB and must run the ball through either of the 2 targets on the edge of the penalty area

White Team must defend using the focus points below if they win the ball they again can run the ball through the targets behind the half way line

Focus points:

  • Identify and establish the line of pressure
  • Compactness relative to the line of defense
  • Defend as a team: If the ball moves, the team moves
  • Establish triggers for pressing the opposition
  • Recovery runs to close gaps between units
  • Ball must be pressed in dangerous areas, no ball watching
  • Discipline and patience in executing decisions
