Setup:
40m x 20m
5 v 5 with 2 outside bouncers
Explanation:
3 touch maximum
1 defender and 1 attacker must stay in the opposite zone
Teams score by getting the ball from one end bouncer to the other. A pass can't be played straight to the bouncer and needs to use their teammate in the opposite zone.
Once a ball is passed into the opposite zone and touched by either the defender or attacker players can then enter the opposite zone.
If the defenders win the ball in the attackers zone (zone A) they keep the ball and attempt to score by getting it to the other bouncer.
If the defenders win the ball in the opposite zone (zone B) they play the bouncer in zone B and play begins in that zone instead.
Rotate the bouncers with a player from each team every 2-3 minutes.
Progressions:
Reduce the area size.
Before a team can go to the opposite zone they must get 3 passes.
Key points:
Can you pass to the correct side of the receivers body?
Can you position your body so you can play a quick pass? (Body facing the direction they wish to pass).
Can your first touch clear your feet so you can pass quickly?
Can you provide an option for the ball and make the field big (Left, right, central, far)?
