Part 3: 3v3 Defending
1. D1 starts with balls and plays to M2. As soon as ball is played to M2 D1 defends. M2 can dribble or play into CF right away. As soon as ball is played it's live play creating a 3v3.
- Players cannot shoot from outside the 18 yard box to start they must try to penetrate the box line in behind before they can go to goal.
Coaching Points:
1. Ball played into CF we need to doubel down on the ball
2. Everytime ball is played back - Need to step up
3. Dont chase back & fourth - angle your run focring 1 way creating a 3v2 numbers up
4. Communication - (loud communication from 1st and 2nd defender)
4. GK off their line to pick up any through balls in behind
5. Intense Defending - aggressive pressure on the ball
6. When player has back to goal - more aggressive and deny the turn
