Instructions:
GK plays into blue who look to play through the line of whites and into the next four blues. If successful blues then look to play back through again for another point. Whites are looking to intercept the ball and then play to their group of fellow whites. If ball leaves play, a new one is played in from the GK on the end line.
Coaching Points:
- Pressure (Quick, communicated, and making play predictable)
- Cover (angle, distance, screen the pass in behind)
- Balance (eliminate all gaps)
- Speed of movement from first defender to second defender as ball travels)
Progressions:
First to 5 goals wins.

Organization:
4v4 game. First goal wins game. If game is tied after 2 minutes, both teams go off.
Coaching Points:
- Awareness of what we are defending (the goal)
- Ability to organize quickly as a defensive unit
- Communication between players
- Ability to keep play compact when out of possession
- Good 1v1 defending technique

Organization:
1.40 x 25 yard area set up as shown
2.12 players (2 teams of 6) set up as shown
3.1 ball (Additional around the outside)
Instructions:
1.Teams play 2v2 to goal
2.The game starts by the attacking team dribbling the ball into the area
3.After each attempt on goal a new attacking team starts the game from behind the goal
4.The team that just attacked stays on the field to become the new defending team
5.The other players rotate back to their own goal and await their next attempt to attack
6.If the ball leaves the area the game is restarted with a kick in
Coaching Points:
1.Speed and angle of approach should force attacker into cover
2.Angle and distance of 2nd defender
3.Ability to change roles quickly and correctly
4.2nd defender needs to keep both attackers in view
5.Communicate to 1st defender
6.Transition to attack
