Feedback from Saturday's Fixture
+ Regained possession 17 times in attacking third (once every 5.2 minutes) - from that we created 11 chances to get a shot on target. This shows that we are capable and very good at pressing high to win the ball back but possibly should be more effective in transition i.e. higher conversion rate (decisive passing).
+ Better decision making at times on when to clear the ball vs. risking playing out.
+ Some excellent set piece delivery, particularly in-swinging FKs from wide areas.
+ Highlights: 1) Archy's save onto the crossbar.
2) Jamie Bishop press CB then diving block against the GK out for a throw-in.
3) Team committment to tackling and being aggressive.
- Hesitant to play out when OK to do so; poor CM rotation to receive ball to feet, FBs way to high and not able to offer a simple pass from CB or CDM, Archy in-decisive with ball at feet, tempo was slow
- Limited effective communication all over the pitch
- Limited combination and interaction between front 3
- Limited evidence of checking shoulder, receiving half turn, and zero switching
