Phys Lit 1

Activity

- Create a shape with multiple lines that all connect (See option in picture)

- Choose 1/2 players to be Catchers and the remainder of the players to be runners

- The runners attempt to move around the area only using the grid lines to do so.

- If they are travelling down a line and another player is coming the other way they must both change direction and use a different line

- The catchers are looking to tag any of the players that they can in the grid, if they are able to do so they will pass on the pinnie and the caught player will become the catcher

Progressions

- Players must use different movements to move around the area i.e Jumping, hopping skipping

- Players dribble a ball around the lines also

Actvity (Freeze Tag)

- Players are split in to ctachers and runners with 3 catchers and the rest remianing as runners

- The runners attempt to stay away from the catchers within the circle

- If the runners are caught they must do vary degrees of stances before they can join back in to the game

1) Stand with legs open - to be freed a friend must crawl through legs

2) Create a pyramid by placing both hands and feet on the floor, pushing their back up in to the air to create a tunnel between their hands and feet. To be freed a friend must crawl through the tunnel between hands and feet.

3) Place both hands and feet on the ground pushing the stomach in to the air. To be freed a friend must crawl underneath the bridge between back and floor.

Activity

- Each player has a hurdle and two cones

- Place the first cone 1 yard in front of the hudle and the other 7-10 yards further infront

Exercise 1

- Players use 2 feet together to jump over the hurdle

- The players then use two feet to jump side to side over the first cone 10 times

- Players then sprint out to the end cone and hold a plank for 10 seconds

- Players then run back to the starting Hurdle

Exercise 2

- Players use one foot to hop over the hurdle

- They then do a full circle around cone one facing the same way the whole time

- The players will then run backwards to the end cone

- At the end cone the players will do 5 tuck jumps and run back to the start

Once the players have had 3-5 goes at each of these activities thplayers will then create their own course that they will then complete.

Activity

- Players line up in a staright line one behind the other

- Coach stands at the front of the line facing the players

- The coach will call different actions that the players will complete

Actions

- Right Hand Down

- Left Hand Down

- Up

- Down

- Left (To make more fun name left and right different soccer teams)

- Right (Players must run to the lines to the left or the right)

On each call the players will perform the action. Each player will start with 10 points, everytime the call to run right or left is called and they are last back to the middle they will lose a point.

Progression

- When the coach calls for an action the players will now do the opposite

Activity

- All players move around the square in any way they like for 2 minutes

- Following the 2 minutes select different parts of the body that players are able to use to move.

- One Leg

- Both legs both arms

- Arms only

- Adjust the activity so that rather than the players having to move using the body parts they now have to balance using those body parts only for 30 seconds - 1 minute

Progression

- Add a ball in with the only rule being that the ball cannot touch the ground.

- Focusing on the core when balancing

- Being creative in their movements
