Objective of session to to allow for players to work on controling the ball when received it in various scenarios by incorporating the technical and physical attributes. The drills are designed to be fun, competitive and demanding from a speed of play perspective.

Organization:
- players split into 4 groups 3 (or 3 groups of 4)
Procedure:
- players race from the 1st square of the ladder side stepping the first 2 cones and then to the middle where they get a ball and shoot.
Then race back to the last square of the ladder.
The next player cannot go until the other player has 2 feet in the ladder
Coaching Points:
- team competition
- identify which goal each groups shoots into prior to race
- ensure that the plant leg is done correctly on the cone side stepping

Organization:
- 20x20 grid with cone in centre
- Objective is for each player to practice their first touch at each cone within their triangles using all parts of the foot.
- Each player must follow their pass (A to B, B to C and then dribble from C to A)
Progression:
- Use only left foot
- Free style (let them do their own moves for a few mins) when dribbling from C to A or 3 to 1
- Change direction
Coaching Points:
- Head up
- Lots of Communication asking for the ball (where do you want it)
- Body is open ready to accept ball
- Firm pass (pace of the pass)
- Dribble with speed from C to A

Organization:
- Make a 30 x 25 yard grid, smaller if less players
- divide the group into 2 equal teams of 5 + GK required
- make the teams rotate GKs every 4 mins.
Progressions:
- One touch finish are worth 2 goals
- finishing with non-dominant foot worth 2 goals
Coaching Points:
- speed of play = fast (where possible)
- decision making
- attacking mentality
- team defending (everyone is behind the ball when it's lost)
- game management when in possession (don't simply kick it away)
- urgency to score when behind

Organization:

- players race through 4 stages of the obstacle course performing a variety of fundamental skills (i.e.: forward/backwards running, skipping, hopping, bear-crawls, frog jumps, lateral shuffles etc.)
1. hop 2 feet over hurdles and run to cone A
2. From Cone A to B coach calls specific movement eg bear crawl - side stepping - frog jumps
3. dribble / solo / carry ball around cone back to B
4. Repeat Movement in Step 2 from B to A and run back to start line
