Equipment: 2 large bownets, cones as shown and extra balls for demonstrations.
Instructions:
Warm up: 3 minutes
Following the coaches to raise the heart rate and stretch muscles. Slow march with high knees, fast feet. Toe touch and reach up, fast feet. High knee gates, fast feet.
Activity- Agility 5 minutes, split group in half and mirror cones
Starting at the same time players run clocklwise around the grid 2x's, rest 30s, then repeat in the opposite direction 2x's.
Run clockwise forward to first cone, then sideways, then backwards, then sideways to finish. Repeat and then opposite direction 2x's.
Competition- Teams of 4 compete doing each of the above one time, first team to finish wins.
Water break 2 minutes
Activity- Ball mastery 10 minutes
Coaches demonstrate toe taps and tic tocks, and soccer pose.
Perform 15 toe taps, rest then repeat 3xs. Perform 15 tic tocks, rest and repeat 3xs.
Perform 5 toe taps and follow with 5 tic tocks, rest and repeat 5xs.
Dribble randomly around the grid and on coaches command red light stop the ball and do soccer pose.
Remind playes to keep their head up and take small touches, use 2 zones if needed.
Competition- Dribble randomly playing red light, last person to stop the ball is out. Play until one side wins by having at least one player left.
Water break 2 minutes
SSG- No Contact, players can defend but cannot tackle, stop play and remind players if there is contact.
Split the group in half, try to divide by shirt colours or dark/light. Players are given positions in a diamond formation defenders and strikers stay in the end zones, mids stay in the neutral zone. Switch player positions so everyone has the opportunity to play each one.
All restarts are from kick ins, or goal kicks. Start from a goal kick after a goal is scored, the attacker has to drop to the dashed line. This will teach players the concept of building out from the back.
No goaltenders, or use of hands during play.
Coaching points-
Keep up the energy and intensity during the activities.
For the ssg we are looking to teach the players basic positioning in a 4v4 or 3v3 shape. Encourage movement off the ball to receive passes or create openings for dribbling.

Zones: End zones ~9M, neutral zone ~12M. Fields have been lined.
Please remember this is Phase 2 return to play, modified so their is no contact. Please keep a mask with you to wear when in close contact with players or parents. Arrange equipment as needed when players go for water breaks.
Players drop off their bag, water, hand sanitizer with their parents. Players go to their coach for instructions regarding social distancing and non contact play. During water breaks players will go to the parent near the field and have a drink and clean their hands before returning.
