Objective
Green & Pink teams attempt to keep the ball away from Blue team. They do this by successfully identifuing a passing channel to play through and connect through the pitch. Objective is to complete as many vertical passes as possible over the gain line.
Blue team cannot retreat further back than the tolerance zone in the middle of the pitch. Must be either in the zone for further forwards, pressing to win the ball.
Should Blue team win possession of the ball, they must play it back to the coach. Whichever team (Green or Pink) loses the ball, they become the defenders.
Numerical Variations
5v5v5 works perfectly in a quarter of the pitch. If numbers are slightly up or down, very the pitch width accordingly but keep the length the same.
It is possible to utilise GK's here as part of the outfield group to work on their movement & kicking.
Playing Variations
1. Add a scoring system target/punishment
2. Reduce number of defenders to make easier for attackers
3. Green carry over gain line - join pink team and make 6v5
