battle pass (15 mins)

Organization:

1 grid 30 X 30 yard box
2 teams one soccer ball per team
1 line in the middle to dive the grid into box 1 & box 2

Instructions:

players have 1 min to get as many passes as possible with there team
it must be a pass and move into a new space for the pass to count
the team with the most passes win the round

Coaching Points/Questions:

CP1 : use the inside of the foot to pass
CP 2: pick your head up and find the open space to scanning the field and seeing where there are less people

Regressions/Progressions:

Pro 1: add a defender to steal the ball on each side making it 4 V 1 etc...

15 X 15 yard box
each player with a soccer ball
4 pugs North, East, South, West of the 40 X 40 grid

Instructions:

team 1 Vs team 2 will have 2 mins to pass the ball into the pug each time they pass the ball into the pugs= 1 point
if the pass the ball from inside the small 15 X 15 grid = 2 points
if the score in a north goal they must score somewhere else
the team with the most points in 2 mins wins the round

Coaching Points/Questions:

CP 1:Players can use any part of the foot to pass ( except the toes)
CP 2: scan the field and see which goal becomes available first.

Instructions:

small sided game with the condition that every pass that the team makes that does not get intercepted counts as a point
If the team scores they get however many passes they made as their goal
every time they ball gets intercepted the teams starts back over to zero points
For example: team blue makes 5 passes as a team the ball does not get intercepted they score they now have 5 points.

Coaching Points/Questions:

CP 1: in order to make a pass they players must find pockets and gaps of space by getting wide and getting in between the opposing team
CP 2: receive the ball on the back foot and get ready to pass the with the front foot
CP 3: hips wide ready to receive
CP 4: always keep your head up and scanning the field before you receive

Regressions/Progressions:

Pro 1: give the stronger team a set number before they can score I.E. 10 passes before they can go to goal * allows the other team more time to defend and win the ball to get them back to zero.*
