Corner Kick Routine Session

Organization:

• Defenders in the box ready to defend corner. If defenders win the ball they have to go score in one of the outlets (mini goals) to recieve a point. Attackers are lined up in a line, One attacker is a short option to the corner and the last attacker left is on the outside of the box ready to pick up any ball that pops out to him/her. The attackers in the line watch the corner takers instruction (near post, far post, middle, back post or short). When the ball is crossed in the attackers in line break out into different directions of movement, causing a headache for the defenders and hopefully getting a touch on the ball.

Coaching Points/Questions:

• How quickly can the defenders find an outlet to go to goal? Can the attacking team score within 5 seconds after missing a cross?

Regressions/Progressions:

• Normal scrimmage (big goal to small goals).
