Positions shown in each slide are just STARTING positions. Once the ball is in play, or the GK steps back to take the kick and you are not available to play into, find the space. After the first ball is played, do you maintain your spot(weakside) or do you check in and provide an option for the second ball.

How many options does he have?
FB on the wing? AM checks in? Near Side HM needs to provide an option.
W on that side is an option?
If nothing, GK an option to switch play from the back? Far side CB must hold position until play has moved to the second line in case of the switch. After the GK can even slide into the penalty box.

Starting Positions
GK sets ball at the middle of the 6yd box allowing them to play to either side of the pitch.
CB's ~ 8yds out from the goal line at the side of the penalty box.
HM's at each corner of the D right at the top of the penalty box
FB's 25-30yds out from the goal line on the touchline
AM ~35yds out in the center of the pitch
W's on the half line on the touch line.
ST ~on the center spot.
THESE ARE MERELY START POSITIONS
Once the GK has set the ball and backs up before putting the ball in play, this is your queue to ensure you are in space or a channel is available for the ball to be played to you.
The GK is not limited to playing to the first line. If FB's and AM are available, USE THEM.
