Organization: Square grid 15x15 yards with 6 players.
Instructions: 1) Player outside the grid plays in the ball to attacking player who shields and maintains possession for 10 seconds before passing the ball to an attacking player outside the grid different from where it was received. Each player to repeat for 1 minute. 10 minute exercise.
2) Add a skill move for the attacking player within the grid prior to passing the ball out of the grid. 10 minute exercise
Coaching Points: Session is designed for players to develop confidence on the ball through maintaining ball possession.

Organization: Small grid.
Instructions: 1) Using shoulder to shoulder contact players attempt to displace the opponent outside a small boundary. No ball required. 10 minute exercise
2) Add soccer ball and have attacking player remain stationary and pivot with one foot on the ball while shielding a defender away preventing the opponent from taking possession. Attacking player should attempt to maintian possession for 10 seconds. 10 minute exercise.
3) Expand grid 5x5 yards where attacking player will maintain possession, perform one skill move and distribute ball to attacking player teamate following 10 seconds. 15 minute exercise
Coaching Points: Encourage body position and low balance for optimal strength required to maintain posession.
