Title: Technical Crossing (Unopposed) Relay 20 minutes
Aim: Put players in a setting where they are competitive performing the player actions designed for success within the topic /idea of the session.
Organization / Activity: Players work through passing pattern within our attacking shape & perform same actions within the session. Round 1 - No restrictions. Round 2 - stepover. Round Three - Race. 4 minute Rounds 1 minute Rest
Coaching Script / Plan for failure:
- Players will fail to turn their hips when crossing the ball. Discuss why when dribbling at full speed and getting off both feet allows you to turn your hips and keep ball away from GK / cross to desired area
- Players will fail to use a variety of surfaces / crossing techniques when serving the ball. Demo what this looks like, a driven ball with your laces vs a curling the ball into an area with the inside of you foot.
- Players will fail to perform a skills when the requirement is lifted - discuss why getting in this habit and having a go to skill will help you problem solve when faced with this player action.

Title: Crossing zone training (20 minutes)
Aim: Put players in a setting where they're getting directional competitive reps creating space for themselves to serve within the crossing zone.
Notes: Discuss how ruthless we were in champions cup game three within this situation / actions. Specifically turning
your hips with the service, driving at the opponents front foot and keeping the service away from the GK.
Organization / Activity: Players work through pattern, receive ball in crossing zone, perform 1v1 with the aim of getting a quality service into the 9, she then looks to finish.
Round 1 - Shadow Defending. Round 2 - Block behind line. Round 3 - live Round 4 - add
Progression: Round 1 - Shadow Defending. Round 2 - Block behind line. Round 3 - live Round 4 - add 4/5 to mark 9 in box.
Plan for failure / Coaching Script:
- Players in the 1v1 will fail to drive at opponents front foot. Discuss how aggressively driving at opponents front foot will cause movement / unbalance which will allow player in possession to progress & create
- Players in the 1v1 will fail to recognize when an opponent is 'square' demo what this looks like and discuss why this is a cue to use a change of pace & direction in order to create / score.
- 9 will be waiting on the ball at the front post and will fail to time her run correctly. Discuss why waiting at the back post allows you to access the situation, drag your opponent out for order for you to explode into the front post area (is it easier to move forward or back?)

Title: SSG attacking shape vs defense 6v6 20 minutes
Aim: Put players in a setting where they're getting directional competitive reps creating space for themselves to serve within the crossing zone.
Organization / Activity: Players play in attacking shape versus two center backs & typical midfield three that we face. Cut corners off to encourage diagonal run that's been present through the session. Blue playing to goal. Red build towards mini goals or 9's depending on numbers.
Progression: Add 9's for red 4/5 for blue. 9's must set before midfield 3 transition to pugs.

Warm Up & Cognitive
Title: Warm Up - 5 minutes Cognitive 1v1 - 10 minutes
Aim: Put players in a setting where they're thinking, reacting and moving to an external stimulus while competing in a 1v1 situation.
Organization / Activity: Players are tasked with winning their individual battle, they must react to the coaches direction (coaches can decide for example: North, south, east, west) the 'catcher' is tasked with tagging their opponent on the back or arm in order to get a point, if 'runner' get's past the 8 yard mark without getting caught she gets a point.
Progression: best out of three games. Winners move up, losers move down.
