Progression: Looking at how we can exploit the space in a live game
- Open up the pitch to play a more realistic game
- Ideally 11v11 but can work with 9v9 (+2 GK's)
Practice:
- Starts with yellow 4 in he centre circle
- All players start in the yellow attacking half (apart from x2 yellow CB's and x1 Blue CF)
- The 2 blue wingers stay high and wide (on the half way line)
- Yellows try and penetrate the blue's defence and score.
- Blue team win the ball and then play out wide through the grey dotted line.
- if the Blues score within 15 seconds of winning he ball, the goal counts as double
- 2 blue wingers and no.10 (if playing 11v1) are the only players allowed to join the counter attack (create a 4v3)
- No.4 is the only yellow allowed to recover defensively
- Change team roles after 15 mins
Blue team - low blockCompactness CommunicationPlay forward without thinking - wide players should be anticipating the pass
