Aim: To introduce the participants to dribbling in football.
Objectives:
1. Utilise fun games to keep the participants engaged.
2. Use colours that they can recognise with ease to direct them about.
3. Ask the participants questions at the end of the session to gauge enjoyment.
Equipment: set of cones, 16 footballs, lesson plan, whistle

Tactical Linear approach |

Sun, Sea, Sky & Land:
There are 4 areas marked out with cones. Yellow = sun. Blue = sea. White = sky. Green = land. When the coach calls out a place/colour. The participants must dribble with their ball into the coned area. Coach can ask questions on what they find there.

Physical Adapting practices |

Relay Races:
Participants will start in groups, e.g. 5 groups of 4, lined up behind a cone. Starting without a ball they will run up to the cone, go around it and high five their teammate when they get back. Practice a few times then add in cones they must run around. Eventually add in the ball.

Tactical Game related |

Sharks & Minnows:
1-3 participants will be called the "sharks". The rest of the class are the "minnows". Each minnow has a ball and the sharks do not. When the whistle is blown the minnows will dribble with their ball and try to get past the sharks. The sharks can only move in the middle area. If the sharks touch the ball, the minnow must place their ball at the side and become a shark.

Social Questionning |

Balloon:
Participants jog around coned area, slow it down to a walk, then a slow motion walk. Get them to stop. Participants crouch down into small balls. The coach counts from 1 up to 10 with the participants slowly growing like a balloon. When the coach reaches 10, the participants bill burst and wiggle down like a deflating balloon.

Colour Recognition:
Scatter different colours of cones around. Call out different commands, e.g. "Who can touch 3 different coloured cones?" or "Who can touch 2 blue cones?". The participants sit with their legs in a basket to show they are done.
