Warm up - Dribble and moves (10 mins)

Organization/Set up:

5 cones
Players A1 and A2 willdribble towards the middle cone on opposite sides of the cone, perform a movethen run straight across to the opposite line. Alternate with B1 and B2

Progression: Crosspaths to other side

Coaching Points/KeyFactors:

Controland move.
Speed to cone, explode once move is made, mimicking creating distance from Defender.

Moves to perform:

1. Pull turn 1.5 min

2. Outside chop 1.5 min

3. Inside Chop 1.5 min Stopand go 1.5 min

1. V turn 1.5 min

2. Fake and take 1.5 min

3.Scissors 1.5 min

Queen of the Ring (20 mins)

ORGANIZATION/Setup:

4 in a 20 Yards Square
2-3 Taggers and the remaining are players inside the box
Taggers are using their ball by dribbling to kick their ball at the players ball. If their ball touches the players ball, that player is eliminated.
If the player leaves the box, they are also eliminated. Taggers can leave the box

Coaching Points/Key Factors:

Protecting the ball - using your body to blind side the ball from the defender
Quick feet and ball movement
Tight control on the ball
Playing with your head up to see where the taggers are. Can we move into open spaces that are furthest from the taggers
Progression:
Start with one tagger, if a player is tagged, they become a tagger as well. Continue until you are left with one tagger

Wed - Dribble Zone Tag (20 mins)

Organization/Set up:

15 cones – 5x3 cone sets
20 x 20 yard area – 2 groups
Each player has a ball and dribbles around to different zones. (Triangles)
Competition 1 - How many zones can they dribble to in a certain amount of time (30 secs)
Competition 2 - 2 min rounds: 2 taggers with their ball, use their ball to tag the other players ball

Progressions:

Make it easier for taggers - taggers can have the ball in their hand and tag the other players ball by throwing
Make it harder for taggers - Taggers kick their ball to another players ball to tag
The triangle zones are safe zones, players cannot be tagged inside the safe zone
You are only allowed in the safe zone no longer than 3 seconds
Score system - how many zones you can dribble to. Your total score minus the amount of times you got tagged. (Eg: I scored 5gates and I got tagged once, total score = 4)

Sunday - Ball Collector (20 mins)

Organization/Set up:

20 x 20 yrd square
3, 5 x 5 yrd boxes with red cones
Plenty of yellow cones scattered throughout the playing area
Players start in in squares and dribble out of square
Players muse dribble through 3 cones and go to a different square from where they started and drop off ball.
Player than runs to a square with a free ball, collects ball and repeats process
Time 1 minute intervals, see how many squares a player can do in one minute
Progression: Add a Tagger.
- 1. If tagger hits their ball they become the tagger until 1 player remains or
- 2. 1 minute timing. If Tagger tags player, Player has to dribble to a cone outside the play area then return.

Change what a player has to do at the cones. Left food Dribble, Right Food Dribble, Sole Role, ect.
