WHAT IF.
:I am going put a condition that the balls starts with blue 4 and he has to pass to 1of his wingers (either 7 or 11)from the restart.
The blues decide to play the ball quickly into the 7, they try playing into the middle from wide to create an overload centrally , 3v2 with Blue player #11 entering the middle .
Solution:
The nearest Red full back #3 to the wide blue player should be ready to anticipate the ball going wide and travel as the ball moves to put pressure on the blue wide player #7, to stop him getting the ball into the middle or running the channel and crossing to create a goal scoring opportunity.
As he does this, the back 2 will stay tight to the blue 9 and blue 10.,
The Red #6 will stay tight to the blue 6 ,can the red 9 back press blue #8,then the red 8 can screen the pass for the blue 11 .
Only free man then will be back to blue 4.

What If:This scenario could happen as well from the conditions that the ball starts with blue 4 and he has to pass to 1 of his wingers(7 or 11) from the restart
The Blue #4 plays the ball into #7 and #6 Blue steps out of zone which creates a 2v1 in the channel against the red full back?
Solution:
If the red #3 engages with blue #7 red #6 stays touch tight to blue #6 forcing play away from goal while the 2 CB reds keeping narrow with blue #9 & #10.
If the underlap occurs the red #4 screens the underlap red 5 should come across to mark the blue 9 and red #8 drops in to mark blue #10 red 9 back presses to mark blue 8 .
The full back should stay with the wide attacking forward and track his run inside if needed.
The goalkeeper for the reds should also anticipate any threat in the wide areas and be prepared to move up or across his goal line area a few yards to anticipate a cross coming into the box.

Block 2 SPECIFIC
TOPIC-Defending the overload Centrally.
BLUE TEAM MANAGED Can they encourage opposition striker(BLUE 9) to drop in centrally to receive the ball to try and create the overload centrally ,and try to open up gaps in between the defence.
Can you find your 9 through a pass and get success in front of goal (3 points if you find your 9 and score, 1 point if you find your 9 and get a shot off)
Out of Possession -
Recognise Opposition Movement.
Press Quickly.
Protect the Middle.
Leave furthest players.
Back 3 keep narrow (width of the 18 yard box).
GK- Can you communicate with the players and organise you're defence.
Making sure they are working as a unit.
Be on front foot ready for any through balls.
Always be in position in retaliation to the ball.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
What If:
The #9 for the blues drops in to receive a pass from the #4 for the blues?
Solution:
One of the centre backs should get tight and go with the #9 to stop him turning on the ball.
As the centre back presses the full backs and other centre back narrow up to provide cover in order to close any gaps and prevent any through passes or space for the attacker to run in to.
What if - #8 and #6 position themselves on the outside of the two deep lying red midfielders who are staying tight, Blue #9 drops centrally into the empty channel to receive.
Solution:
The #6 and #8 for the reds should not get drawn out of their compact shape and keep narrow in order to protect the central area/zone and stop the pass getting played into the #9 of the blues. This will then force the blues to play sideways or backwards.
Out of Possession -, keep the ball in front, force sideways and backwards passes, pressure and cover. Back 4 keep narrow centrally, communicating with keeper and screen over when the play has shifted wide. (width of the 18 yard box).

Defending overloads
Reds 3-5-2 (taken away wingers 7 and 11) Add.
Blue 4-4-2 (taken away full backs) Add a GK and Centre half, @ 5 from the specific.
15 min 2 blocks 7 min 1 min terminal intervention.
Problem : BLUES using spare extra men on the right side to create overloads.
Solution: Leave the furthest player on the left to protect the middle and press on the right side of play to even up the numbers and defending the box from any exploitation of space by any overloads.
Can the 2 red striker press aggressively , the blues should have an overload at the back if they use the GK.
Team out of Possession:
Recognise the opposition movement to prevent overload.
Press quickly.
Asked to protect the middle and work as a unit.
Will always be asked to leave the furthest players and force players wide.
Defend the box and stop any crosses.
Body positioning (side on for flexibility of movement)
Distances between defenders/pitch area and geography.

Block 1 Defend the overload centrally.
-RED team must prevent the Blues from scoring and defend against the overloads Centrally. Back 3 defenders and keeper are to screen across with support from the 2 CDMs if and when ball plays wide and remembering to leave the furthest man to help defend the overload.
-Defence will be coached to work and move in unison/tuck in, so they cannot be split. Maintaining distance between each other and moving left/right/centre together.
Emphasise need to scan/check and communicate with one another.
-Force the attack wide, use CDMs to support and press. Nearest player presses the ball.
-Screening CDMs will be coached to own a left and right side and provide a screen between FB and Defence, with aim to press the ball.
Out of Possession - Leave the furthest man, travel as the ball travels, pressure and cover, stop the cross, force the play backwards .Keep equal distances as a unit.
