Organisation
25 x 25 yard area with a 5 x 5 yd area in the middle.
Players split up into two groups of 6. One group starts in the middle with a ball each and the other group are spread around the outside of the area.
6 balls.
Instructions
The players in the middle start by dribbling out of the area and passing to a player on the outside and swaps positions.
The receiving player takes a positive touch out of theit feet, dribbles into the central area and back out before passing a player on the outside and continuing the pattern.
Progressions
After passing to the player on the outside, the passer takes up the role of a passive defender.

Organisation

One ball per team.
3 reds & 3 yellows in the middle of the practice with two players on the outside for both teams.
Instructions
Players must transfer the ball from one side of the box to the other utilising a minimum of two of the central players, players on the outside of the group to remain & then feed the ball back into the central players to repeat the practice. Both teams perform the activity similtaneously.
This time, the central aspect of the practice remains the same, but the Player that passes into end player now rotates & takes the role of the player on the outside. Encourage outside players to use full width of their line to create variety.
Progressions
Look to ensure groups don't work in isolation & link in between one another, consider progressions such as; (1) Distance of pass, (2) Receiving between opponents, (3) Creativity when passing/receiving, to increase realism.

Progression Organisation
Just use the one ball now within the practice, with 3 reds and 3 yellows remaining in the middle of the practice with two players on the outside for both teams.
Place 4 cones within area (as per image) to divide area into 4 quarters.
Instructions
Players must transfer the ball from one side of the box to the other as quickly as they can (they can not go direct from end player to end player), players can rotate once they pass out or remain.
Progressions
Challenge teams to make x number of passes before transfering it.
Within the 4 zones, encourage;
- If they win it in one half (regain possession) they must first reach the further outside player. - The ball must travel through 3 zones before reaching an outside player,
- They must have one player in the furthest box away from the ball,
- Defenders are only allowed x number of players over in one half, or one quater.

Instructions
The players take it in turns to receive the passing ball before deciding which direction they will dribble the ball. They have two options to turn & dribble the ball through before taking a shot, the blue cones or the red cones with the yellow cone (or mannequin) simulating a Defender.
The player receives 3 passes before turning, they turn on the third pass they receive.
The player who passes the ball to them is next in line to have a go,

- Challenge the players to take a bigger initial touch as they start their turn.

Progression Instructions
This time the player passing the ball into the attacker becomes a defender.
The defender must move through the opposite coloured cone gate and attempt to close down the attacker before they have a chance to shoot.
