4v1 rondo in top third. 4 must complete five passes. Once they have completed five passes they attack the goal and the high defender and attacker become active.

Rotate roles regularly.

Coaching points:

- Play to space. WHY? Running into defenders usually results in losing the ball.

- Be outside the defenders reach and create passing angles. WHY? If not, the defender can intercept the pass, and we will lose the ball.

- Attempt to pick the ball up on the move, with your first touch taking the ball to space. WHY? Picking up on the move helps you keep the ball away from defenders.

What does good look like?

- Playing to space

- Players making an effort to lead outside the reach of the defender

Coaching points:

Drill Three: Invasion Rondo (15 mins)

Two boxes side by side. Five players in each box. One team starts with the ball and the other sends one player across to try and win the ball. The five must keep possession off the one. If the one wins it or the five make 10 passes, the ball is passed to the other side and the now out of possession team send one player across to win it back. The drill repeats.

Progression: Defending team can send two players across.

Coaching points:

- Scan to see where other players are. WHY? This enables you to decide what to do next.

- Know your next pass. WHY? This helps you play quickly before defenders come.

- Prepare your body for your next pass. WHY? This helps you play quickly before defenders come.

- Players scanning

- Players knowing next action

- Players moving ball on quickly
