2v2 Touch The Goal

2v2 with small goals on a 20x20 field. Extra players are on end lines. Red 1s attack and Blue 1s defend. When the ball goes over the end line or in the goal, flying changes. In this example, Red 1s shoot. Blue 2s then attack Red 1s immediately and Blue 1s take Blue 2s spot on the end line.

Play with flying changes until the game is in flow. Then add the "Touch the Goal" rule.

After a team has shot and a transition is occuring, the shooter must run up and touch one of the goals they are attacking before they may defend. This provides a 2v1 with a trailing defender (if the attacking team attacks quickly). If the defender can delay then the retreating defender has time to recover and play 2v2.

Encourage speeding transitions and counterattacking mentality while you have numbers up.
