3v3 with 3 Goals
Organization: 25 - 40 Fields. The team in possession attempts to dribble through one of the 3 gates at the opposition teams goal line.
Coaching Points: Positive first touch (takes you where you want to go), encourage players to be creative in 1v1 situations (be creative + take risks), changes of speed and direction, decision making of when to pass and when to dribble.
Progressions:
1. 4v4
2. 5v5 - at this stage, add some team shape, for players to recognize the similarities of how to shift defensively and move off the ball offensively.

Key words: Pass, open up, calling each others name.
Guided questions: What can you do if you have the ball with time? How do we help the player on the ball? Why is it important to learn and call each others name?
Answers: Look up, make a decision about what to do next with the ball. By creating space and good angles off the ball. To improve the communication on the field.

Organization: 10 players are placed on the outside of a 20x20yds area as
shown. Each player has a ball.
Variations:
Line 1: Inside/Outside Cuts
Line 2: Ball Boxing (Inside touches)
Line 3: Sole Rolls
Line 4: Be Creative (any moves)
Activity
Players start by dribbling across the area all at the same time,
showing correct dribbling technique (outside/laces of foot). Once
the player gets to the opposite line they perform a turn (drag back,
inside cut, outside cut) and dribble back to their starting position.
Progression:
1. Players work on dribbling across to opposite line & back
performing designated ball manipulation moves as noted below,
2. Players rotate to different lines to work on different moves after a
set time.
3. Once the players have become comfortable with what you are asking them make it a competition to see who can get the most touches of the ball as they perform the techniques.
Coaching Points: See the ball/see the player, change of speed/direction, keep head up, use all parts of both feet.
