Organization: For a game, set up small sided fields that are approximately 30x40, 4v4, max! For the rondo, play 4v0, with a player sitting out. If a player on the inside makes a mistake, sub that player out. Progress to add (4v1).

Key words: Pass, open up, calling each others name.

Guided questions: What can you do if you have the ball with time? How do we help the player on the ball?

Answers: Look up, make a decision about what to do next with the ball. By creating space and good angles off the ball.

Progressions:

1. 4v4

2. 5v5 - at this stage, add some team shape, for players to recognize the similarities of how to shift defensively and move off the ball offensively.

shown. Each player has a ball.

performing designated ball manipulation moves as noted below,

2. Players rotate to different lines to work on different moves after a

set time.

Coaching Points: See the ball/see the player, change of speed/direction, keep head up, use all parts of both feet.
