area:
create corridors/channels 5m apart 10m long with a 5m x 5m area each end (as shown with orange cones).
Equipment:
Cones, discs, poles & balls.
Objective:
Each pair occupy a square either end of their corridor. Only every other channel/corridor is occupied to ahdere to social distancing rules. The game is a point based game where each attempt a point is played for. The objective is to pass the ball as hard as you can with accuracy to test the touch/control of your opponent. If they misscontrol and the ball goes outside of their area (shown by orange cones) then you win the point. If you execute a poor pass which doesn't go into their box then they would win the point. THe opponent will not return the ball back to you to control with the same rules applying. The ball goes back and forth like a game of tennis. alternatively instead of a point being played for, you can have the person losing the point carrying out a forefit. 5 x any excercise the opponents wishes from the coaches list. 5 x press ups, 5 x sit ups, 5 x squat jumps, 5 x burpies, 5 x jumping jacks, 5 x squat thrusts.
Another alternative is for players to move up or down the line after 3 points so they face a different opponent and to sream abilty. If you win you move up, if you lose you move down.
Progression:
To make the task more challenging reduce the passing distance from 10m to 7m & then 5m. This can be tailored to what you are trying to acheive. If your main focus is passing and greater distances then you can increase rather than decrease. If your focus is control you can either reduce for improved reations or increase for improving controllloing the ball in the air. Place restrictions such as only 1 bounce or time restriction to pass the ball back to speed up play to make it more game realistic.
Key Points:
Passing = Try to strike the balance of passing as hard as you can with accuracy. If you just hit as hard as you can you will lose accuracy. Try to use different types of passes with different parts of your foot. If you can challege yourself to pass with your weaker foot.
Controlling = Get your body in possition to recieve the ball before it reaches you. Start at the back of your box so you can judge the flight and mive onto the ball to control.

Area:
create 5m x 5m squares. 2 players occupy opposite sides of a square then occupy every other square to adhere to social distancing.
Equipment:
Balls, cones
Objective:
Pair the players up and pass 5m.
1) Pairs occupy every other channel to adhere to social distancing.Stand opposite partner 5m apart. Simply pass back and forth. lots of touches. Mix up 1 touch and 2 touch.
2) 5m passing. when partner shouts "GO!" let the ball run through your legs, turn and retreive ball. Partners pass should firm to only travel a few meters behind but not too hard that the ball is far away.
3) against the clock see how many succesful 5m passes you can achieve in 1 minute. Rest and see if you can beat your own score.
4) stand on your own line on the opposite side to your partner infront of a cone. copy coaches commands (touch your knees, touch your toes etc). When the coach shouts "Cone" grab the cone and put it on your head like a hat to win a point. Play 3 or 5 times.
Key points:
Be on your toes, light on your feet. If you need a touch make sure your touch puts the ball in the easiest place for you to strike the ball without having to adjust your body position much. Strike the ball firmly in the centre of the ball but not too hard that it makes it difficult for your team mate to control the ball.
