The pitch is set up with 4 corner boxes and a central box. There is a Target Player at each end, who plays between the two corner boxes and a 3v2 in the central box with 4v4 surrounding.
To score a goal a team must play the ball to their Target Player in one of the corner boxes, after they have played through the central box. The team of 3 must link 2 consecutive passes in the middle before they can score, the team of 2 must link at least 1 pass before they can score.
Rotate player roles.
To progress allow a rotation of the Target Player and allow players to move freely across the whole pitch. Again, to score there must be a linked pass in the middle. If the ball goes out of play the coach plays in immediately to retain high tempo.

The players are set up 2-3-1 vs 2-3-2. All players are free to move wherever they want but there must be 1 pass linked in the central zone before a goal can be scored.
To finish, set a scenario. The red team are 1-0 up with 10 minutes left to play. Their objective is to retain possession and see out the win. If the blues score then the game goes to free play.
