- attacking team 2-2-3
- defending team 1-4-2
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
- game play start at both ends or coach start
- attacking team to utilize wide area(s)
- attacking team to use an overload to create a switch of play opportunity
- defending team to counter on big goal w/o gk
Technical / Tactical Points:
- player principles (penetrate when possible - patience / possession when needed)
- team principles: use the switch of play to expose an overload on one side and space to attack on the other to get behind the defensive line
- patience on the ball
- movement off the ball
- triggers: multiple short passes in one vertical half to force the shift of the opponent / run of the shoulder of a wide player
- don't be predictable
- the entry ball should lead to a finish, cross or shot
