Pass Receive and Retain - 15-20 minutes

5 players in each square numbered 1-5
Players 2 touch pass and receive until the coach shouts a number between 1-5
player enters opposite area to try and win the ball back making a 4v1 and has 20 seconds to do so
If the defender wins the ball back try and finish in the goal next to them
Progress to one touch/ increase ball speed and transition.

Final third - attacking - 15-20 mins
- Coach starts on the side as the feeder
- 3 defenders protecting each goal
- 4 attackers start in the central area of the pitch
- ball is played in and coach nominates which way to attack making a 4v3
- Use overload advantage to combine and score as quickly as possible
- Defender can score in the goal for a point
- as soon as the ball goes dead another is played in to attack the opposite side
- switch defenders every few minutes
Coaching Points -
- quality and weight of pass
- create passing lanes using angles
- don't force the play retain the ball where necessary
- defenders, desire to win the ball back and block shots
