Good for: Helping children understand personal space.
Explain what personal space is and how you use it.
Give each student a hula hoop and have them hold it at waist level.
Explain that this is their personal space car and they should not touch any other student’s car.
Allow the children to travel in a variety of ways - Start of slow walking making sure they stay inside cones before progressing to skipping hopping, running, backwards etc. Also add in different directions in response to signals (e.g. stop or go signals, stand up or sit down)- add sr cones to the area to make a circuit to make this session harder or a ball each whilst moving around the space.
