Create a 25 x 35 grid with small goals on each end and divide up the players into two teams of 4. Have an extra player be the neutral with any other remainders on the outside of the grid as "bumper" players with touch restrictions. Allow the players to play in this setting while implementing the topic from the week.
How can we get away from the defender? Where do we want to go when we receive the ball and what do we want to do with it?

Facilitate the game and help with positions, positioning, and game format. Facilitate a basic scrimmage with a goalkeeper and five field players. Allow the kids to “PLAY” but give guidance when necessary. Use a “coaching in the game” approach to emphasize the topics from this week’s training.

Paint the Field (15 mins)
3 players 1 ball. As a group of 3 players pretend that the field is a piece of paper and they must pass the ball (their paint brush) to cover the entire page.
•How can you cover the entire field?
•What part of your foot should you use?
- Proper receiving technique: "check" mark, large surface touches the ball to receive and strike
•Is it better to stand still or be moving?
Coaching Points:
•Purposeful first touch, we're not just stopping the ball
- Away from pressure
•What are we preparing for?
- Dribble or Pass?
•Footwork to get in line with pass
•Where can you move to get open
•What does it mean to be open
