Technical Warm Up (5 minutes)
5v5 game-like technical activity where the team that controls the ball passes the ball forward or backward with the objective to pass the ball to one of the 2 neutral players (12 players in total).
Opposing team objective is to mark players and disrupt the progression of the ball to either of the neutral players.
Game is played within 18 yard box -- with 5 yard neutral zone marked out at each end.
Neutral players must stay within 5 yard neutral zone -- other players must not enter 5 yard neutral zone
Once Team has moved the ball to one of the neutral players (who is able to control the pass) that team wins a point.
Once point won, the neutral player starts play again, by initiating pass to the team that just scored the point.
The opposing team, attempts to win the ball away, and once won, the team attempts to pass the ball (either forward or backward) to one of the neutral players.
The team that reaches 5 points first, wins the game/round. If time remains, start game again.
Game is initiated by one neutral player passing ball out to team of their choice.
If ball goes out of bounds, the coach passes ball in to one of the neutral players (coaches choice)
Change out neutral player every 2 minutes.
Equipment:
8 cones
5 blue pinnies
2 yellow pinnies for neutral players

Individual Marking Skill and Technique
Objective: To effectively mark players with the objective to slow down, prevent forward movement and take away passing options.
Set-Up
Set up field measuring 20 yards by 25 yards marked with cones
Goal required at one end
2 target 5-yard wide "run-through" areas on opposite end (marked in alternate cone colour (green)
Mark a 5 yard deep zone with yellow cones out from end of attacking side of field.
Place several balls on one sidelines from which balls will be initially served into field by alternate striker.
Split team into two with two full lines of both defensive and offensive players
Each Line has:
1 Goal Keeper
2 Central Defenders
1 Striker
2 Midfielders
Equipment Required:
1 net
4 blue pinnies
6 red pinnies (attacking team)
1 yellow and 1 green pinnie
10 red cones; 4 green cones; 2 yellow cones
10 soccer balls
Playing:
Server (alternate stiker) serves ball to one of the two midfielders. That midfielder only works with the striker to attempt to score on goal. Remaining midfielder moves back to 5 yard wide zone at end of pitch. This mid-field player can be used to pass back to but is not allowed to move outside of this zone.
The two central defenders work together to effectively mark the striker and offensive midfielder from scoring on their goalkeeper.
If central defenders steal ball away from offensive unit, they break and attempt to dribble ball through two target areas on opposite end of field mounting a counter attack.
Play stops if:
Ball goes outside of field
Offensive team scores
After counter attempt is made by defensive team.
Goalie catches ball.
Once sequence is complete, second line of both offensive and defensive players comes on and activity is repeated.
Progression:
Second midfielder added in to offensive push to score creating a 3 on 2 situation (able to come outside of 5-yard end zone).
