Duck Tails (15 mins)

Set Up: 

  • Every player starts with a ball.
  • Field size 20 (L) x 20 (W).

Action: 

  • Players with a ball are to start by dribbling around the area.
  • Each player has a bib tucked into the back of their shorts.
  • Players try to collect bibs by chasing other players an removing their bib from the back of their shorts.
  • Players must keep control of their own ball while dribbling around. 
  • Player with the most bibs at the end of the time is the winner.
Variation/Progressions
  • The time of sets or size of the area can be adjusted to suit the needs and abilities of the players.
  • Aim to improve running/dribbling with the ball.

Player Tips:

  • As Above.

Coaching Points:

  • Correct running/dribbling with the ball technique.
  • Heads Up.
  • Protect your tail.
  • Face your opponent.

Session Timing:

  • Complete 3 sets of 4 minutes with a 1 minute rest in between sets.
