Activity
Play is started by one player (Player A here) dribbling towards the scoring zone. That player shoots then immediately becomes the defender to oppose the next attacker (Player B). This sequence continues.
Possible variations/progression
-Take out specific zone
-Must shoot before zone

-good first touch forwards, attack defender at speed, use of moves, changes of speed/directions
-quick transition from defence to attack

Activity
A shooting activity - player dribbles towards cone, performs cut around and attempts to finish on the goalkeeper. Shooter them becomes goalkeeper, and goalkeeper joins the shooting line. To increase intensity, have the 2 groups pick a gk to go defend the other team's net and place as a race/competition.
Possible variations/progressions
-Pass inside to set-up for shot
-Play from other direction to work other foot

-Head down at the point of contact
-Non-kicking foot placed to side, slightly behind the ball
-Contact foot – laces (instep)
-Body weight forward, chest and knee over the ball at contact
-Follow through landing on striking foot

Organization
- Players Line up in a single file line in the centre of a 20 x 20
square
Activity
- The players line up in a single file line in front of the coach
- The coach names the line either side as different football teams
- The coach will then run through some actions that the players
have to perform on the shout
- Down - Touch the floor with one hand
- Up - Jump for a header call your name
- Right - Put your right hand up
- Left - Put your left hand up
- Spin - 180 turn
- On the call of the teams the players will sprint to that line and
back
- Give the players 4-5 practices
- Make it competitive by last person back is out
