Warm up (10 mins)

WARM-UP: PASS & MOVE + MOBILITY

Duration : 10 minutes

Organisation

Area: 12–15 m triangle

Equipment: 3 cones (triangle) 

Players: 2 players per cone 

Setup:

Cones form a triangle

One ball starts at one cone

Players positioned behind each cone

Exercise runs clockwise (later change direction) to work on the left foot 

Exercise Description: 

  • Player passes the ball to the next cone

  • Pass and follow your pass

  • After passing, player moves to the next cone

  • During movement, player performs mobility stretch:

    • Open the gate

    • Close the gate

    • Hip rotation

    • Hamstring sweep

  • Next player receives and repeats

Introductory game (15 mins)

Format :-  4v4v4 (possession + pressing)

Setup Area:  - 30 x 15 m -  3 zones (2 end zones + 1 middle zone)  - Middle zone: defenders only 

Equipment: - 20 cones - 3 bib colours - 15 ball

Organisation : - Teams A & B stay in their zones( AO)  - Defending team starts in middle zone ( DT)  - Ball starts with one possession team

Objective: break the pressing line and play into the opposite zone

Rules / Conditions: 

- ( AO) In Possession (Team A or B) - Keep possession - Break the defensive line with - Good weight of pass - Correct timing - Pass must go through or around defenders - One-touch / two-touch encouraged

- ( DT) Defending Team (Team C) , Starting condition: - 2 players press - 2 players hold in middle zone

Progression: - 3 players press vs - 1 player holds (screen)

Transition Rules :  

- If defending team wins the ball : Immediate pass to the opposite zone

- Team that loses possession:  Immediate press to recover ball

Coaching point :

  • - Body shape to play forward

  • - Scan before receiving

  • - Timing of pass vs pressure

  • - Support angles behind the ball

  • - Reaction after loss

    Functional activity (15 mins)

  • Objectif of the session : 

    Progression from Zone 3 into Zone 4 ( Ao) / Try to win it within 5 second ( DT) 

    Organization : 

    Players: GK + 5 vs GK + 5

  • Formations:

    • My Team  : 1-2-3 ( Head Coach ) 

    • Opposition: 1-2-1-2 ( Assistant Coach ) 

  • Area: From penalty box to halfway line, central corridor only (no wide areas)

  • Goals: 2 big goals, 2 GKs

    Equipment : 12 balls , 20 cones , 2 colours of bibs 

  • Rules: Every time the ball go out we start from the keeper ( no corners and no through in ) 

  • Organisation:

    • Play always starts with your team

    • Every 5 balls start with your team, 6th ball starts with opposition

  • Attacking Organisation ( AO) : 

    • Break passing lines in Zones 3–4

    • Play through the middle with patience

    • Score on the big goal

  • Coaching Point :

    • Body shape

    • Weight & timing of pass

    • Support angles

    • Immediate reaction on loss

  • Opposition :

    • Press centrally

    • Stay compact

    • Counter to big goal

    Phase of play activity (20 mins)

    Scenario :

    In our last game, when the opponent pressed us high, we kept the ball but couldn’t break their midfield line in Zones 3–4.

    We played too fast forward, or too safe sideways, and we didn’t create enough chances


    Field Setup :

    - Half  pitch Full width 

    - 1 big goal with GK 

    - 2 small goals (opposition) placed  left  and right  replicate the 7 - 11 

    -  15 - 20  Balls always starts with the assistant coach 2  (attacking team)

    - 2 sets of bibs 

    - 1 Head Coach -  Assistant Coach 1 ( Coach the opposition ) - Assistant Coach 2 ( Play the balls to attacking Team ) - Goal Keeper Coach ( will use him for the lines men ) 

    Organisation : 

    - ( 1 Gk + 7 vs 8 ) Progression  ( 1 GK + 8 VS 8)

    - ( Bleu ) Team I  Coach (Attacking  Big Goal) 

    Formation:  4 - 4  Replicate of 1-4-4-2 

    Focus: possession, patience,  breaking  The line 

    (White) Opposition Team 

    Formation: 1-4-1-2  Replicate of 1- 4-1-4-1 

    Defend with high pressure in zone 3 /4  (front 3/4) Score on 2 small goals 

    Transition: central attack + wide support (RW/LW)

    Session Objective : 

    - (Bleu) Attacking Team Break defensive lines through middle or outside Attract pressure to create space behind Maintain possession with patience Finish on big goal 

    - ( White) Opposition Press high in zone 1 -2  as in game Win ball and attack quickly through: Right & left wing support

     Bleu Team :
     Attacking organisation (AO)

    - Patience in Possession - Attract & Exploit - Breaking Lines - Inter-Switching Movements- 

    Defending Transition ( DT) :

    - Immediate counter-press (5 seconds) - Protect central channel - Force play wide

    White Team : (Realism)  

    Defending Organisation ( DO) : ( Behaviour) 

    - Front players press aggressively - One midfielder jumps to block pivot - High defensive line - Compact vertically

    Attacking Transition ( AT) : ( Behaviour ) 

    - First pass forward-  Central attack - Wide runners join quickly Finish in small goals

    Cool down (10 mins)

    Part 1: Active Recovery (7 min)

    Organisation : 

    - Half team on each side of the field  Jog

    - end to end (length of pitch)

    - Assistant coach leads at the front

    - Very slow pace (talking speed)

    Content (During Jogging)

    • Light jogging → walking

      Dynamic / active stretching:

      - Open the gate

      - Close the gate

      - Heel to glutes

      - High knees (low intensity)

      - Hamstring sweeps

      - Arm circles (forward / backward)

      - Trunk rotations

      Part 2: Static Stretching (5 min)

      Organisation
