Create a triangle, each cone 15yds away from the next and position 7 players as shown in the diagram.
3 players at cone A, first player with a ball and 2 players each on cones B & C without a ball.
First player A starts with the ball towards B. First player B should check away from the cone to receive a pass and play a one touch pass back to player A. The second player B will start a runfrom behind and towards C and player A passes another one touch pass into the run of second player B.
The same play continues at C.
Everybody moves up one position: First player A will become first player B, First player B will become the second player B and second player B will become first player at C and so on.
Make sure the players check away from their defender and receive a pass on the back foot with an open body and ready to play one touch. The second players need to read the play and time their run.
Accuracy and weight of the passes are very important. Play until players are moving well and the excercize is running smooth.
Sitch direction to use both feet and play competition with two groups competing with each other. Losers do sprints.

Double Diamond passing pattern:
A plays to be who drops the ball back to A, A passes the play to C, who lays off the ball to B, B plays a through pass to D, D plays a quick combination with A and then switches the play to E. Same pattern on the other side.
All players rotate one position up : A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-A....
Focus on quality touches and passes, weight of pass, communication and speed of play.
A and E have to focus on the timing when switching to the next position because they have to play the last pass to D & H

9 v. 4 Rondo
6 players on the outside as bumbers, 3 in the middle versus 4 defenders in the middle.
Attackers play with 2 touch max, defenders have unlimited touches.
If defenders get the ball, they play 4 v. 3 in the middle.
Rotate players often.
Focus on quality touches and pressing when losing possession of the ball.
3 touch if it's too hard, 1 touch to make it more difficult.

3 team possession and switching play ssg.
Make three teams. Mark a rectangle with a narrow zone in the middle.
Defending team will have one player in each zone.
Teams in endzone will play 3v1 possession and try to switch the play whenever possible.
Coach can add a min amount of passes before switching is allowed.
Defenders should think about pressure, cover, balance, meaning all three players are active and moving to close down players on the ball, passing lanes and receiving players in the other zone.
Communication between players is very important. If defending team gets the ball, they switch with the team that lost the ball.

3 v. 1 - 3 v. 1 + GK's shooting ssg.
Players can only shoot from their own half, Defender puts pressure on attackers but can also score from rebounds.
Progression: Attackers can also pass to the Defender/Striker if he can get open for a through pass in a scoring position.
