Essence:
Score more points than the opposing team. One point is awarded when a team member receives the ball within one of the small squares.
Structure:
Four red players and two blue players start in the red square (4 v 2). Team red has possession. A point is awarded if they pass the ball to a team member that is standing inside one of the small squares. After a point is awarded, a team cannot score in the same square immediately after again. If the blue team intercepts the ball, they try to pass the ball to their team mates in the blue square. Trainer shouts two names of the red team that are allowed to go to the blue square and try to take possesion of the ball again. This makes it into a 4 v 2 again. This repeats over and over.
Pointers:
- Try to find space (both individually and as a team)
- Create a big playing field when in possesion
- Always keep in motion, dynamic movements
Variations:
- Adding more defenders (4 v 3)
- Restricting number of ball contacts
- Change threshold for receiving a point
