Warm Up

Set up as shown using 10 players with 6 on the outside of the circle and 4 inside. Four balls are in play at the same time.

The inside players look to receive a pass from the outside players before controlling and passing out to the other side of the area. The outside player receives and then plays it back in.

Things to look out for & encourage: Good weight and accuracy of pass, communication. Inside players should get side on to receive, control with inside of back foot and pass with the other.

Unopposed Technique

Set up as shown with 4 players on the outside and 5 or 6 inside.

1. The inside players dribble the ball around the square, use the whole area, keep head up, use both feet, different parts of feet and try different turns. At the same time the players on the outside pass the ball between themselves trying to avoid the inside players. Look for good movement from outside players, opportunities to pass through, good weight and accuracy of pass. Can they switch play quickly.

2. Players on the outside do the same as in 1 above but this time the inside players have one ball between them and pass and move amongst themselves. Can they also look to intercept the pass from the outside player

Set up as shown with 3 v 3 in the middle with 3 on the outside. The 3 on the outside plays for whichever team has possession.

A shot at goal can only be taken when all 3 outside players have touched the ball.
